Menu and our food

Mealtimes are a very important occasion for the children and for the adults. It is an opportunity for everyone to come together, eat, chat and have fun. The children take an independent and responsible role in eating and serve each other in the community. 

 

All our meals are freshly produced by our two in-house chefs and we also follow a fully vegetarian diet. We use seasonal food where possible and always have alternative meals for any children who have specific dietary requirements.

 

Our working allotment is a place where children can plant and grow vegetables, herbs and fruits. It is a great opportunity for the children to develop a more hands-on approach to growing food and some children thoroughly enjoy the process, others prefer to make mud pies! We also have three chickens, Ondina, Sophie and Susana. They are very much part of our community, the children look after them during the week and at the weekend’s families come in and look after them, this gives the children a chance to see life in different forms and they really bring a well-roundedness to the children’s learning environment.
